Hi, I'm Alison.
Welcome to Budgeting Basics and Beyond where I teach heads of household and entrepreneurs how to have an organized budget and keep their financial lives running smoothly. I am all about using common sense practices combined with a side of hustle to reach and maintain financial goals. We aren’t failing and we aren’t broke, we need to do some planning and take action to bridge any gaps in order to brings our dreams to life. When giving up on your dreams is not an option, whether those dreams be a yearly vacation or a new business, or something entirely different, and the same old thing is not working, you have to make a change.
Who needs Budgeting Basics and Beyond?
Budgeting Basics and Beyond is here to help you whether you are an entrepreneur struggling through the startup of a new business, or whether you are the CEO of your household finances. We watch other people doing the things that we want and assume it is out of our reach. Maybe if I could get this promotion, or maybe if this bill were paid….We need to stop dealing in “what if this happens” and start dealing in “when this happens.”
Being both an entrepreneur and the CEO of our household budget, I am familiar with the struggles of keeping a budget organized and flexible. How do you keep chasing your dreams while also maintaining the right kinds of insurance, proper maintenance on your vehicles and home, and good, healthy food for your family? How do you balance your wants and needs? How do you know the difference?
Budgeting Basics and Beyond was founded on the knowledge that it is hard to keep an organized budget. There are endless options and ways to handle your money. It’s very similar to physical fitness. And just like you would consult with your doctor or a trainer to help with fitness or health issues, I am here to help with your budget issues. My mission is to change the conversation around our personal finances to a place of abundance and joy rather than scarcity and fear.
Thank you for being here. I want to help you have an organized financial life. I want you to go on vacations and do things that you love with your money.
I’ll be the first one to tell you that I’m not perfect with my money. I made a lot of mistakes in the past, but I have learned and grown my knowledge throughout those experiences. I am excited to work together to make your finances work for you and your family.
